Re:Scale and Re:Scale Fitness are trading names of Crisp Digital Studios Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us"), which is the controller of your personal data. Re:Scale is a weight-tracking application for Android and the web. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we store it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it — including your right to delete everything.

We do not collect advertising identifiers ourselves, and we do not sell your data. The Android app does show ads via Google AdMob, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK may access your device's advertising ID — see §6 for what that means and how you control it.
Account and weight data is stored in a secure database and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. On Android, weight data may also be stored on your device by Google Health Connect, which you control through Android's Health Connect settings.
We use your data only to operate the app: to authenticate you, store and display your weight history, calculate trends and predictions, and (on Android) sync with Health Connect. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we never share your account details, weight entries, goals or Health Connect data with our advertising partner (see §6).
On Android, Re:Scale can read and write weight data to Google Health Connect, only after you explicitly grant permission. This is used solely to keep your weight in sync between Re:Scale and other health apps you use. Sync is user-initiated and user-controlled — you can revoke Health Connect permissions at any time in Android settings, and you can disable sync within Re:Scale. Re:Scale accesses only weight data and only for the purpose described here; it is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.
The Re:Scale website uses only essential/functional browser storage, plus a privacy-friendly analytics tool. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Because the items in this table are strictly necessary or cookieless and collect no personal data, they do not require opt-in consent. If we ever add cookie-based or personally-identifying analytics or marketing, we will first ask for your explicit consent. Advertising in the Android app is handled separately and does ask for your consent — see §6.
The Android app shows a single banner ad, served by Google AdMob. The website shows no ads.
To serve those ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may access your device's advertising ID (a resettable identifier Android provides) and technical data such as your approximate location derived from your IP address, device type and app version. This is Google acting as an independent controller for ad delivery and measurement — it is not something we collect, store or have access to, and it is separate from your Re:Scale account.
Your weight data is never used for advertising. We do not send your account details, weight entries, goals or Health Connect data to AdMob or any advertising partner.
In the UK and EEA, the app shows you Google's consent form before requesting personalised ads, so you choose whether your advertising ID is used for personalisation. If you decline, you will still see ads, but non-personalised ones. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, which stops it being used to build an advertising profile.

We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (hosting and database), acting as our processors, and with Google Health Connect on your device when you enable sync. We do not sell your data, and we do not share your account details, weight entries or goals with advertisers. On Android, Google AdMob independently collects the limited ad-serving data described in §6.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. In the app, go to Settings → Delete account, or reach us via our contact form. Deletion permanently removes your account, weight entries, and preferences from our database.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can export your data from the app at any time, and revoke Health Connect access via Android settings.
Re:Scale is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
